Check out the Annual
Apple Butter Festival during the first weekend of October in Berkeley Springs, WV (105 miles, 1 hour 59 minutes).
- Arrive in time for the parade (9:00 am)
- Attend the Turtle Race (11:00 am) and Facial Hair Contest (2:50 pm), which are the centerpiece events dating back to the first festival in 1974
- Eat prize winning apple pie and apple butter
- Walk around town, visiting various booths and exhibits and eating great food
- Listen to local "rockabilly" and "old time" bands
